About Sauti Skika Adolescent and Young People Network

SAUTI SKIKA, a Swahili word which means ‘Amplify Voices’ is an initiative for and by adolescents and young people living with HIV whose goal is to ensure the voices of adolescents and young people ‘Living with HIV’ is heard at all levels of HIV response. The Sauti Skika network was formed in 2014 by a group of AYPLHIV that had accepted their status. The main agenda was to help other young people who are yet to come to terms with their status to be able to accept their status, and to create awareness to the society at large and reduce HIV related stigma and discrimination. Through their voices, the young people talk about the issues that are affecting them, with the whole purpose of making a difference.
